This Privacy Policy explains what information Classchool collects, how we use it, how we disclose it, and the choices available to users in Canada and the United States.

Summary

We collect information needed to provide Classchool, including account details, classroom prompts and files, generated classroom records, usage records, contact messages, and billing records. We use this information to run the service, generate classrooms, support users, process payments, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide required choices.

Information We Collect

We collect account information such as name, email address, authentication details, role, subscription status, and account settings.

We collect classroom information such as prompts, topics, uploaded files or extracted file text, generated classroom records, classroom titles and descriptions, thumbnails, public/private status, and generation history.

We collect usage and technical information such as pages and features used, classroom generation counts, usage limits, credit balances, error logs, device or browser information, IP address, and security events.

We collect billing information needed to manage subscriptions and credits, such as payment provider customer IDs, subscription IDs, price IDs, checkout session IDs, transaction records, and payment status. Full payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Classchool.

We collect messages submitted through the Contact page, including name, email address, subject, message, submission status, and related account information if available.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and secure Classchool, authenticate users, generate and display classrooms, manage public sharing, enforce usage limits, process subscriptions and credits, provide support, respond to contact requests, troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service.

We may use classroom prompts, uploaded content, and generated outputs to provide the generation service and troubleshoot user-requested issues. We do not use student-sensitive content for advertising.

AI Processing

Classroom generation may involve AI systems and infrastructure providers. Prompts, uploaded text, classroom requirements, and generated outputs may be sent to those providers as needed to produce and operate classroom content. Avoid submitting personal, confidential, or student-sensitive information unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so.

AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable. Users are responsible for reviewing generated materials before using them with learners or making them public.

Service Providers

Classchool may disclose information to service providers that help operate the product, including hosting, database, AI generation, email delivery, payment processing, logging, security, and support providers. These providers process information for Classchool's business purposes and are expected to protect it.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe or another payment provider shown at checkout. Email may be processed by the configured email service. AI generation may be processed by the configured AI and classroom-generation services.

International and Cross-Border Processing

Classchool may process and store information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. By using Classchool, you understand that information may be transferred across borders as needed to provide the service.

For Quebec users and organizations, cross-border transfers and service providers are evaluated according to applicable legal requirements before personal information is transferred or processed by a new provider.

Public Classrooms

Classrooms you mark as public may be visible to visitors without signing in and may appear on Classchool public pages. Public classrooms may be copied, indexed, saved, or shared by others. Do not publish personal information, confidential information, student records, or content you do not have permission to share.

Children and Student Information

Classchool is intended for educators, schools, organizations, and authorized users. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information unless permitted by a parent, guardian, school, or applicable law.

If you use Classchool in an educational setting, you are responsible for following applicable school, district, provincial, state, federal, and institutional requirements, including rules about student records, parental consent, and approved vendors. Do not upload student personal information unless you are authorized and it is necessary for the classroom purpose.

Cookies and Tracking

Classchool uses cookies or similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, and service operation. We do not currently use third-party behavioral advertising cookies.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no single accepted standard for these signals, Classchool does not currently respond to them. If we add advertising or analytics technologies that require additional choices, we will update this policy.

Data Retention

We keep account, classroom, contact, usage, and billing information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.

You may delete or make private some classroom content through product features. Backups, logs, payment records, security records, and legally required records may remain for a limited period after deletion.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for using strong, unique passwords.

Your Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.

You can contact us to ask about your account information, request correction or deletion, ask how information is used, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some requests may be limited by legal, security, billing, backup, or product obligations.

United States State Privacy Notices

For users in California and other US states with privacy laws, Classchool does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We collect the categories of information described in this policy for the purposes described above and disclose them to service providers as described above.

If Classchool later adds advertising, analytics, data sharing, or new business uses that trigger additional state-law notices or opt-out rights, this policy and the product controls should be updated before those practices begin.

Canada Privacy Notices

For Canadian users, Classchool aims to collect only information needed for identified purposes, use it for those purposes, safeguard it, retain it only as needed, and provide access and correction rights where applicable.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or a provincial privacy regulator.
